Program Overview #

The Student IT Ambassadors are trained student employees embedded across campus colleges, libraries, and residence halls. They serve as first-line technology helpers for their peers — answering common questions, escalating unresolved issues to the IT Service Desk, and gathering feedback on IT services.


What Ambassadors Do #

  • Assist fellow students with Wi-Fi, printing, and software installation questions
  • Promote awareness of available IT resources and self-help tools
  • Attend monthly training sessions on new tools and IT policy changes
  • Submit anonymous feedback reports on technology pain points
  • Staff drop-in tech help hours during midterms and finals

How to Become an Ambassador #

Applications open each spring for the following academic year. Students in any major are eligible. Priority is given to candidates who can commit to at least 8 hours per week during the academic year.
